Red Herring II - Building a New Chapter in Offshore Racing

A custom offshore racing yacht, built for a legacy of its own.

Currently underway, Red Herring II is a custom canting-keel offshore racing yacht designed by world-renowned naval architect Paul Bieker. Born from experience sailing the original Red Herring (a boat launched decades ahead of its time), the project isn't after strictly speed, but a considered approach to the world’s great distance races: a boat designed for a team of people willing to do things their own way.

For Moore Brothers, it marks a milestone — our first fully independent build from concept to launch, drawing from a heritage of boatbuilding and the full depth of engineering and craftsmanship our shop has to offer.
