Moore Brothers Company Acquires Symmetrix Bristol, RI Tooling Assets, moves to Flagship Facility on Broadcommon Road

Bristol, RI (June 5, 2025) - Moore Brothers Company and Symmetrix Composite Tooling announced today that Moore Brothers will acquire the Symmetrix Bristol, RI tooling shop and assets in a strategic merger benefiting both companies.

The agreement will see Symmetrix consolidate operations to their facility in Statesville, NC, while Moore Brothers will assume occupancy of the facility at 115 Broadcommon Rd. Both Symmetrix and Moore Brothers will continue to offer full-service composite tooling.

With expanded machine capacity and the addition of Symmetrix skilled staff, Moore Brothers will offer vertically integrated services spanning large-scale composite tooling, component fabrication, and prototyping of all sizes. The building, purpose-built in 2008, spans 45,600 square feet and houses an 80’x20’ large format CNC machine and 100’x30’ paint booth/oven, to which Moore Brothers will add a 5 axis CMS Ares and 60ft Autoclave.

Founded by brothers Oliver and Sam Moore in 2014, Moore Brothers Company has experienced steady growth with the execution of larger projects. The company serves its core market in the marine industry alongside automotive, industrial and aerospace clients, most recently committing to additional work within aerospace. Their latest large-scale project will leverage the full capabilities of Symmetrix, where the tooling is underway, and Moore Brothers Company engineering and composite fabrication.

Moore Brothers Co-Founder and Vice President, Oliver Moore, said,

“Each step in our growth has come as the result of partnering with established teams in the marine composites industry. The addition of the Symmetrix RI team and our move to 115 Broadcommon is an opportunity to take another step, raising the ceiling on the size and volume of projects we can accommodate. We look forward to operating in a more efficient space and continuing the legacy of premier composite manufacturing in the Northeast.”

Moore Brothers Co-Founder and President, Sam Moore, said,

“We appreciate the consideration on behalf of JB and Symmetrix leadership in the discovery of a fair deal. Merging our two teams will establish a collective with wide-ranging and complementary skills, and enable us to ply our craft in inventive and considered ways. Sky's the limit with this crew."

Symmetrix Founder and President, Jon Barnitt, said,

“To me, this represents an important milestone, we’ve built some fantastic projects here in Bristol and I have had the privilege to work with some amazing people. Time to say thank you for sure! And time to wish MBC continued success!”
